There are many benefits in having a winter wedding; the rich colours, seasonal flowers, candles and the guys will be cooler in their suits while the girls won't get sunburnt shoulders… Here are some reasons why we love winter weddings:

Beautifully saturated,
soft light.
If you want epic photos with beautiful golden and soft light, have a winter wedding. Instead of passing straight overhead, like in summer, the winter months mean the sun stays lower in the sky resulting in softer, more saturated light. Also, the golden hour (the time leading up to the sunset) is at a more convenient time before the reception. This means we will have more opportunities to capture stunning sunset photos!
Off-peak season.
A great way of spending less but still achieving the perfect wedding is to have your wedding on a day that the venue considers ‘off peak’. Also, because of this you’ll find it a lot easier to book vendors, venues and accomodation.
Similar risk, all year round.
Most kiwis dream of the perfect summer wedding but the reality is you can’t guarantee a warm New Zealand summer. Rest-assured, if your wedding does end up raining we are still able to capture some epic photos. Rain photographs add an incredible, artistic element to your wedding images!
